Owner's Description

The note for Barclays Bank (Dominion, Colonial and Overseas) in this Set is a $5 remainder from the first issue dated 1st September 1926 with subsequent issues in 1928, 1932 and 1934. Other denominations known for the bank are $10, $20 and $100. As the bank operated in numerous territories, and the designs of the notes were similar, the use of this particular note in British Guiana is indicated by the overprint text ‘Demerera, British Guiana’ and the stamped control letters B.G. at the top right.
