Owner's Description
San Francisco, CA The Wells Fargo Nevada NB Ch. # (P)5105 REPLACEMENT 4x$10 with Hybrid 4 PMG 25 Minor Tear $10 1882 DB Fr. 545 SN 336856/B34586 pp W/14 dtd. April 19, 1905. Signed by F.L. (Frederick Lockwood) Lippman as the VP, indicated by a V. after his signature. Lippman would go to to be President and Chairman of this powerhouse bank with the title of Wells-Fargo Bank & Union TC during the many years of his leadership. Lippman was a VP at the time of the San Francisco Earthquake and subsequent fire. This is the second title under which this prolific issuer ordered notes and is a nice representative of the overall design type.
