Owner's Description

This highest denomination $1000 Canada banknote is the last issue due to the government trying to combat money laundering and criminal use of this bill. The reverse of this bird series note features the Pine Grosbeak. This nonasterick bill has the prefix of EKX to identify it as a replacement.
