I started collecting when a friend at work, who had been collecting coins for twenty years, told me about the Lincoln Commemorative Silver Dollar was going on sale. That was my first coin I brought from the US Mint. Then came the 2009 Ultra High Relief Double Eagle Gold Coin and the First Spouse Gold Coins Martha Washington and James Buchanan's Liberty Gold Coin..
I have a lot to learn about collecting one thing I have learned, Collecting is for coins you love and not for an investment. That is what I tell my co-workers who see my sets and see how much they are worth. I tell them a coin si only worth what a buyer wants to pay for it.
I am more into the coins from 1964 to present. But I do like Morgan’s. Something about holding a coin that was minted over 130 years and the history of it.
My goal is to complete 100 Greatest Modern US Coins set If I should live that long.
