Bobaloo61's Bio
My interest in collecting US currency started at a young age when my mother worked as a teller at the Drovers NB Of Chicago in the 1960’s. I remember being amazed at the bank vault being opened and to see from a distance all the bags of money being stored in there. Some of my very first coins and currency were given to me by my maternal grandfather whose pieces I still have today in my collection. When I became old enough to get my first paper route delivering the Chicago Today newspaper and the Sunday Chicago SunTimes, it was then that my collection started to grow. Back then we had to collect for the delivery of the newspaper from our customers and I would “cherry pick” the money received to add to my collection. That pretty much started the collection I have today.
