Jaylam's Bio
I was first exposed to comic books by my older brother in the mid 1960's. He bought mainly the DC Superman family of books, but would occasionally buy one of DC's non-Superman titles. There was a Metal Men #14 he got that caught my eye and that was all it took. To a 6 year old they were just catchy and facinating; probably because they were colorful and could morph into all those different shapes from their metal types. From that point on, I immersed myself in comic books, moving on to other DC titles and eventually discovering Marvel super heroes as well. After all these years, I'm still fond of the Metal Men as I believe their concept is unique and fresh. Besides looking back at that Metal Men #14 cover, I guess it was ok by the Comics Code Authority to depict decapitation...as long as it was robots.
