I have been collecting comic books since 1991. Starting with Spider-Man, which Todd McFarlane was drawing at the time. During that time, I collected comics exclusively from Marvel and only Spider-Man back then. I stop collecting when the Clone Saga ended in 1998. Spider-Man's continuity was turned upside down, Marvel cancelled all 4 Spider-Man titles, and comic books prices were rising. I got back into comic book collecting in 2008 after a small flood in my basement which I lost 15% of my collection. At the time, I was going to my LCBS to recover what I lost but things changed during my hiatus from reading comic books. Marvel went back to renumbering Amazing Spider-Man, Marvel and other comic book publishers started to do variants, I started to see comic books (very few) encased with a number on them, and finally, the makeup of comic book readership was changing. They were younger, diverse and craving for original content. Then a little storyline called Edge of the Spider-Verse was kicked off and I started to collect regularly. I want to share my love for comic books in this community. Still trying to make some time to upload photos and input some slabs I already got back from CGC. My turnaround time is about the same as CGC during COVID.
