Hello Everyone!! Comic collecting probably started as a spinoff from studying mythology as a kid. Thor spilled over to the Avengers and the eary X-Men. I never was a Spider-man or Hulk fan, but instead went to the human nature of Daredevil. The artwork of Frazetta and the writing or ERB, even Tarzan and Warlord of Mars. Steranko became the next phase, with Nick Fury and Doc Strange, with a heavy influence of the artwork. But in the summer of 1967 I snagged my first Playboy (Dee Dee Lynn ? was the centerfold) and comics didn't get all my time anymore.
By college my comic collection was near 1000 issues, but I was a young man on the move, so they were boxed, (not all boarded) and put into the folks closet.
