Triskelion's Bio
Hello fellow collectors,

I'm an avid comic book reader and collector (as I'm sure you are too), based in the Philippines. Been reading for nearly 40 years, started with old bound Dell and Gold Key comics (Turok, assorted westerns, etc) handed down to me by my dad (another fan), to bronze/modern age Marvel reprints in Manila, to now (current comics, trades/ hardcovers/etc).

Regrettably, I was unable to store (and take good care of) a lot of the early issues I've had then. Only began boarding and bagging in the last 20 years or so.

Pretty happy something like CGC came about. I think that it's at the very least a fantastic way to protect, archive and display special issues. While my purchases to date have been mostly skewed towards either purposefully buying raw books & getting slabbed, or buying graded books online, I hope to be able to get selected key issues in my personal collection graded and encapsulated, someday.

My current comic book reading interests lie in following the works of current creators like Geoff Johns, Brian Bendis, Jeph Loeb, Garth Ennis and Ed Brubaker. CGC comic interests lie in old Dell/Gold Key Turoks (which I've managed to complete, and am now in the process of upgrading), the more recent Valiant era Turok run, as well as silver/ bronze age Avengers issues.

So far I've completed a few sets. This includes the Turok 1954 Dell/Gold Key series, for which I'd also happily garnered a 2011 Best In Silver Age Set award from CGC, a very special highlight in my collecting journey.

Current CGC collecting goals:

1. Highgrade my Dell/Gold Key Turok (8.5 or higher) and JLA/Avengers set (aiming for an all 10.0 set, 1 to go!)

2. Complete runs of Turok in Valiant, Dark Horse & Dynamite, hopefully 9.6 or higher

3. Build a random set or subset of Pedigree books. I just love this history behind these collections!

4. A representative set of keys - 1st appearances and key storylines (including less costly foreign variants).

I've also recently taken baby steps and begun collecting a handful of NGC's, where my interests lie in the sci-fi/ fantasy/ horror genre - owing to my more dominant comic book hobby focus - plus a few coins I'd consider 'unusual'. The nice thing I've found with NGC and coin collecting in general is that it helps satisfy my genre collecting 'craving' ... at a fraction of the storage space needed versus CGC slabs! :)

I wish you all the best in all your CGC and NGC slabbing and collecting journeys. Cheers!
