Joe Hastings's Bio
I am a reader/collector of Marvel Silver age books. I started reading comics as a kid growing up in 1960's Brooklyn, NY. I've bought, sold and traded books at Comicons and eBay to complete some of my collections over the years.
About 15 years ago, I sold a large portion of my collection but I kept a core group of books and have since built back my collection but with a clearer focus on books that I truly want. To that end, I have sold on eBay duplicates of more current books to re-invest in Silver age books I prefer to collect.
I'm proud to say my childhood letter from 1967 appears in Amazing Spider-Man # 50. No matter what happens, my letter will remain there forever! I'm also the proud owner of a double cover misprint of THOR #163 in a 9.0 grade and it looks great!
As a more recent subscribed member of CGC, I have now received back a number of submissions of my books and they are proudly displayed in my registry.
