M Raitt's Bio
I never know where to start about me or what I like to collect. It all started with my Grandparents Jewel and Roy who use to collect their pennies, nichels and $2 dills for me in a little glass cup so that when I came over we cold place them in the piggy bank. My other Grandmother Helen got me hooked on Lincolns with an old whitmand blue holder that was for the most part complete up to 1966 which was 3 years before I came into this world. I always stated that I have the BEST Grandparents ever and it ws hard to lose them in my teens. I got back into it regulary back in the early 90's and missed on the offer to buy 2 of the 1995-w's with the Gold set. My girlfriend at the time gave the guilt trip and I passed. 10+ years latter I have a Wife Andrea that supports me on my "funny" little hobby which as she puts it. "You save money while I like to spend money. That so cute!!" Well one day when it is time to sell or whatever I hope it is cute then.
I love the Lincon's and the Jefferson's. I have 2 compete sets in storage of both and have been sending them in to get graded so that one day I can lay them out on a table and just smile!!
I did lose my father this year back in March of '07 and it was/has been hard. We would talk coins for awhile when I would go over to collect my mail which had coin mags in them. He would read the Coin World's and talk about how he would like to buy this or that. We had a nick name for him. Mr. "I want".
I miss that.
One day soon I hope to start a family with my wife so that I can pass on everything I know and maybe get another one in my "Silly Hobby"...
Please enjoy looking at the coins and check back from time to time.
Good luck and Peace!!
We had a little girl on June 2nd 2008 and I can not wait to show her the collection that will on day be her's. I hope she like pb&j's also...
