A truly beautiful straits settlements 1916 1/4 cent from the age of King George the sixth, the 1916 1/4 cent is the final year of all 1/4 cents, it has a diameter of 18mm and a thickness of 1mm, it had a mintage 4,000,000 with an unknown amount having an inverted 1, it weighed 2.33 grams and had a milled edge, they were all minted in three mints, the Calcutta, the Kolkuta and the Murshidabad, it was engraved by Edgar Bertram MacKennal.This piece has beautiful reddish brown toning and delightful cartwheel luster, this is truly an exquisite piece in this collection.
