This Wyoming Battle & Massacre Centennial medal is made of brass and was struck on a thick planchet. Its luster and eye appeal are much nicer than I was able to capture in my photos. The brass variety of this medal is quite rare. Only three examples have been certified by NGC, one at MS-60, this piece at MS-63 and one higher at MS-64. PCGS has certified none. The overall rarity is listed as R7 (11-20 known).
