A book given to me as a raw comic by musteatbrains a boardie after a grading contest! 1st Legion. There has been a series or two in production etc. I cherish this cover because it scared the snot out of me as a kid, and the story isn't much of a comfort either! I mentioned that to a Local Comic Store owner who just grunted. Not all reading is happy fun time, even at Good Ole Marvel! Frightening ha! It keeps you looking though. The screen time it got was pretty cool, and I'm sure they had fun. It doesn't often fit the mood to keep on watching. Like the artist, it's an acquired taste. That will be won over in sketch covers and or a little variety. Getting used to it can cause appreciations for the uniqueness but there was also the uniqueness of the characters used. Legion by this New Mutants artist, Bill, is an example, and another is Elektra for an illustration. It had some flair for the time that hasn't been repeated to my knowledge.
Complete with back cover picture of the continued 2nd and 3rd appearance reader copies, they were readily available. As this character is kind of creepy, the covers prove that thought or theory, kind of anyway as it just seems so abstract. Still the 80's were inspiring for new art, now seems simmered down, whether due to being older or more experienced.
