Owner's Description
Comiclink win - March 2020. This is very nicely presenting CGC 7.5. It is one of my lower graded issues (relative to the other graded books), trailing a 9.2, a 9.0, an 8.5 and six 8.0's. This issue represents the first one since issue#1 to have another artist credited to the cover in addition to Irv Novick, in this case, Jack Adler (perhaps better known for his work on Green Lantern or Sea Devils).
Update - June 2021. I really misjudged the interest in the early B&B's when a 9.2 (the sole highest graded) came up for auction at Heritage. I was preoccupied with losing golf balls on a golf course at the exact time the book was auctioned off. I estimated what I thought it would go for, added a little to it and placed my reserve bid. After I get off the golf course with another bad score and get home, I see that not only did my bid NOT HOLD UP!!!! but the book sold for $900 more than I thought it would. This one sticks in my craw a bit - I really could've used an upgrade on this issue!!! Oh well, I'll get over it faster than I will that horrible golf score result (why am I not getting better?). Besides, this particular Heritage auction had thirteen B&B issues I was tracking and going after to varying degrees of interest and I ended up winning six of them (and paid some $$$ to do so).
