Owner's Description
Issue #38 features a very cool Doctor Doom cover. The Fantastic Four cross over into this issue's story, entitled "The Living Prison", continues in Fantastic Four #73.
This book has proven to be an extremely tough one for us to find in high grade. In fact, after being outbid time and time again on other 9.6s, I finally threw a ridiculously high bid in on a CL Auction and still only won it by $5. Honestly, I felt like I had lost overpaying so much. Nevertheless, I now have a 9.6 leaving only one 9.4 in the entire set. Our book is tied for second highest graded trailing a pair of 9.8s. We acquired the book from the 12/8/2021 CL Auction.
2024 Update: We have now completed a 9.6/9.8 run of this set, so the statement above is no longer accurate.
