Owner's Description

Western Outlaws and Sheriffs #63 is referenced in Fredric Wertham’s “Seduction of the Innocent” (SOTI) in the text on pages 159-160. Wertham describes a comic story as follows “One Western comic gives an illustrated lesson in foul fighting (he ‘chopped a powerful rabbit punch’) and brutality (he ‘rammed his knee into Mossman’s face with a sickening thud’ and then, when his victim was on the ground, kicked him in the face)”.

Wertham is describing panels from the story “The Rio Killer” contained in Western Outlaws and Sheriffs #63 published by Marvel 9/1950.
