1st appearance of Kitty Pride, the White Queen (Emma Frost), and Sebastian Shaw!! Some heavy hitters from the animated series, and some a bit before "my time!" As a kid from the 80's we had a bunch of teenage hijinks in comics. Kitty Pride always seemed helpless only to not be, and the White Queen was everyone's favorite bosomy bar maid. Sebastian Shaw was always kind of creepy, an in the shadow's kind of dweller. With the Phoenix Saga, they stand out and are awesomely presented here in CGC 9.2. Sweet! Bought from Dave and Adams for a little over $500, it makes the last of the "major keys" that I needed for this run. Others are either on their way to CGC or there may be some needed upgrades in order. I have a con coming up here in June of 2022, this being the end of April, I'm both excited and nervous to not have any spur of the moment buyer's remorse at the con. Ha-ha, it is the wheeling and dealing, and the thrill of the hunt!
Complete with a back cover picture of the White Queen from Adam Hughes titled Biggest Hits Sketch Book! The picture on the left of the page in the back cover picture, ahem, was even a Sideshow Statue with a cape dropping and everything! Very striking as is most Hughes, but those are some ideas that are hard to think of consistently. He, however, has been able to and daring enough to "go there" with a bit of quality to make it worth it to go there.
