Proteus (Mutant X) & Mastermind appearance. These are the X-men with a near Giant Size Homage, and yet splashing the insides as well. Who can tame the mutants and what agenda will it be when they are involved? With Proteus and Mastermind, they have their hands full. With one so subtle as the Mastermind, I wonder if they'll figure out the ruse in time, and Proteus needs to sprawl out to show his stuff. These pages are filled with the X-men as problem solvers and not knowing the full effects until later. Bought from eBay at $145 shipped, I am happy to extend another slab of the Phoenix run into my collection and registry. This 2023 I have almost completed the full run, and I am well on to saving for Comic Con at mid-year. Going to have some fun in finding the perfect examples to display! CGC 9.4 and at NM (Near Mint) this copy is a treasured pick up with more to come!
Complete with a back cover picture of the handheld video game, "The X-Men: Project X!" Mutant X meet Project X! I remember a few handhelds being available as a kid in the mid 1980's to the 1990's, parents got me Double Dragon, but it was a hard decision for them, and I did beat the game! A similar to Giant Size X-Men homage cover here, and they've worked as a team so far, give them buttons and electronics to use your own wits to win!
