In the epic conclusion of this short saga, Quentin cracks the Phoenix egg and sends the cosmic force spiraling through Emma, Sophie, and finally Jean, who reclaims the Phoenix to stop the Shi’ar’s Event Horizon and save the X-Men. In the aftermath, Jean’s intervention restores the team while Quentin collapses back into stasis and a lone firefly signals the Cuckoos that something unfinished remains.
