Synopsis:
In the previous issue, Hawk was shot by Cobra Commander and is taken to a hospital in critical condition. Joes focus on finding the H.I.S.S. tank carrying Cobra Commander, Destro, and Dr. Venom, but they manage to escape. The Commander convinces Destro that Major Bludd is in love with Baroness and tried to kill Destro. The Joes spot the tank, but Cobra reinforcements arrive, and a firefight ensues. The Joes are victorious but unable to stop the transport helicopter from picking up the tank.
Grand Slam and Stalker monitor a toll booth area where Major Bludd takes a bus hostage. Grand Slam takes down Bludd, who reveals that Scar-Face is also on the bus. In Miami, Snake-Eyes and Kwinn escape from jail and head towards Scar-Face's hideout. They steal a Cadillac and raise the stakes in a game with gamblers.
At Bethesda Naval Hospital, Bludd is taken in for his injuries, but he pretends to be unconscious and takes a nurse hostage. Hawk is also in the hospital, recovering from his injuries. Kwinn and Snake-Eyes reach a bridge while Scar-Face takes a cab to Coney Island. A doctor informs Cobra Commander and Destro that Hawk is alive, and Bludd has been captured. Destro swears he knows Scar-Face's hideout in Coney Island.
