Amazing Spider-Man #375 features the 1st appearance of Anne Weying (She-Venom)!
Overstreet 2023 NM- 9.2 value = $50.
According to the CGC Census Report as of Tuesday, August 22, 2023, out of a total of 5,908 Universal copies graded, 2,648 copies were graded in 9.8 with ONLY 1 copy graded higher in 9.9!
With these statistics in mind, this represents a rarity factor of 44.82% of the total population.

In celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Amazing Spider-Man title, in March of 1993, artists Mark Bagley & Randy Emberlin had the honor in creating a classic Spider-Man vs. Venom holographic battle cover! The bold image depicts Spider-Man and Venom starring each other down in a very intense grappling match; both of them nullifying each other’s attack with opposite forearms being vice gripped and held at bay! Venom’s thick muscular physique coupled with his ferocious fangs within inches of Spider-Man’s face, highlight Venom as the imposing force against Marvel’s most popular superhero!
To compliment this main event showdown, the gold background was printed with holographic spider webs that magically appear when light is refracted off the cover when held at the correct angle! With a stunning visual masterpiece completed, the only thing left was the promotional headliner: SPIDEY vs. VENOM: The FINAL CONFRONTATION!
Although it isn’t noted on the CGC label, ASM #375 features the 1st appearance of Eddy Brock’s former wife Anne Weying, who eventually becomes She-Venom! According to the comics, Anne Weying makes her 1st cameo appearance as She-Venom in Venom: Sinner Takes All #2 and her 1st full appearance in Venom: Sinner Takes All #3!
Actor Michelle Williams played Anne Weying in Venom (2018) and will reprise the role in Venom: Let There Be Carnage, which is scheduled to premiere on October 15, 2021! I would suspect with this type of continuity that they will eventually introduce She-Venom into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU)! Therefore, I am predicting that ASM #375 is currently under the radar as a “sleeper” issue, which will eventually take off in the near future!
Although ASM #375 is not considered rare, as the combined total of Universal 9.8 copies equals more than half the entire population on the CGC Census, this particular 9.8 copy is exceptional because it is PERFECTLY WRAPPED and CENTERED and contains PERFECT WHITE PAGES!
In closing, I purchased this pristine beauty from sloths_comics (via eBay) in April of 2021! The transaction and communication went extremely well and I’m proud to showcase this immaculate copy in Arachnophobia!
