1:1 ratio cover. One of the great things about Red Sonja cover art, is that she always looks awesome in the snow. All that red hair just screams against a white background. And I’m typically not a fan of white backgrounds on my books. Before I saw this cover, I had no familiarity with Sadowski by name, but I had seen his work without knowing it. This cover is sweet – I love the combination of snowfall and the bird’s-eye view and the red hair. Plus – Sonja looks like she knows what she’s doing – her grip on her sword is solid, but doesn’t look too tight, and her knees are bent and hips low keeping her center of balance low in the poor footing. Overall? I love it.
