SS by Rob Leifeld on 4/22/17. 1st Appearance of Deadpool (Wade Wilson), and some would argue Domino or Copycat, with Gideon as well! I don't care if some think Liefeld is a terrible artist, he struck gold! Needed at the time and Deadpool's introduction against Cable really hit home as a needed introduction and exchange for me! This series was quick and ended after a few more and more issues. It was ended with a hit on its hands, but it wouldn't be until much later that everything was taken into account. There was more to be continued or added upon. There was an ongoing series in 1997 with Deadpool leading the charge, but that was a long wait after this issue. #98 has spiked more recently in full force. Deadpool continues on in X-force after this appearance. Still there are just a lot of copies of #98, and it took a lot of time for people to read the character building that was added to the Deadpool persona, too.
Complete with back cover picture of the Marvel Select statue that I picked up for $25 + tax at Half Price Books, a noob purchase but revered all the same, there is a variant with a mask less version of Deadpool as well.
