Crimson Cowl is revealed as Ultron-5 in Issue #55. The issue also features a host of guest appearances by Whirlwind, Radioactive Man, Melter, Klaw and Black Knight. High
In the story, which is continued from the prior issue, the Avengers are held captive, and it is shown that the Crimson Cowl isn't the Edwin Jarvis at all, but the robot Ultron-5. Jarvis is supposedly killed, but he escapes and finds the Black Knight, who helps him. The Black Knight then attacks the Masters of Evil and frees the Avengers. Together they defeat the Masters. Although Ultron and Whirlwind escape, the rest are imprisoned. The Avengers decide to give Jarvis a second chance.
High grade copies of this issue are exceedingly common with our 9.8 tied with 33 others for highest graded as of June 2020. We acquired the book from the 8/15/2011 Heritage Auction.
