Owner's Description

Since the lie detector was invented by William Moulton Marston, the creator of Wonder Woman, it’s not surprising that it makes a frequent appearance in early DC comics. In fact, it appears prominently on the cover of Wonder Woman #53 from 1952 where WW is asked about her identity while strapped to the device. Similarly, in Issue #241, Batman is strapped to a lie detector in a courtroom scene and determined to be a jewel thief on the cover of this 1957 book. Our 9.4 is as of today far and away the finest copy with no other book graded higher than an 8.5. We acquired the book from the 6/12/2023 Heritage Auction.
