Owner's Description

Origin of Swamp Thing! 1st appearance of Lt. Matt Cable, and both Alec and Linda Holland. Great new storytelling, Bernie Wrightson does not disappoint with the art, and you can feel the eerie Swamp! With the Swampers and how He Exists. Lucky enough to snag this on eBay, I should have paid up for it a long long time ago ha-ha! A well worth it addition to the collection, making it to the forefront with the Swamp Thing. Some like the 1st app Swampie better as a character, although this version was definitely beloved. As a first ongoing, the rest of the series is just as sweet in art and story. Many collectors have made it their mission to complete and read. A lot of interesting forms of story writing ending with a culmination of "love" and hey, Swampie even meets up with the Batman for a frolicking good time, eventually with DC.

Complete with a back cover picture of the DC Cover girl's hardcover, by Adam Hughes, picture of the covers and readable history that is the Swamp Thing. Swampy came through two origins with different thoughts and or ideas. Living in the "backwoods swamp" stimulates a certain viewpoint, but the Swamp Thing likes to think himself a self-made creature. Outsiders, they can decide for themselves!

Grader Notes:
light scuff left top of front cover breaks color;
very small crease right top of front cover breaks color;
very small, multiple crease right bottom of front cover breaks color.
