Owner's Description

1st Valiant appearance of Turok. Special 8-page Magnus story insert. Turok! The name strikes fear in the collector's heart, by being more than anything common in character, traits, and drive. In print, however, it is the obvious choice for many issues to be found in each collection or collector's bundle. Strengthening the heart of those travelers of bin dives, as endurance is key to making the edition addition. The Indian is a native to many a fanbase, however, and keeps a narrative in the heart of a life with "rustic" ambition. Having watched shows like the Rifleman, Have Gun Will Travel, and Wanted Dead or Alive, it is not easy to root for the hasty rustlers themselves in their weary travels of a "wild west!" While the Indians were fellow travelers in these shows' portrayals, they were sought for as the wisdom, and or, original territorial pioneers.

Complete with a fellow issue of native ambition, with even a comic cover by Neal Adams in the issues of, "TOMAHAWK!" While Turok was original and a golden age Dell character, it would spurn the talk of the town in comics about westerns and the like, and from a perspective of those who had originally tamed the land within America and beyond. Cowboys seemed to have a wandering mind or attitude, that if focused the Indians would then entreat in kind! Tomahawk somewhat tries to carry on those traditions, with illustrating greats such as Neal Adams.

Grader Notes;
light staple tears.
