Jonathan "Pa" Kent makes a rare cover appearance in the Action Comics run. Pa Kent has only made a few cover appearances in the title’s history, his first was cover #247 (December, 1958). He also appears on covers #508 (June, 1980), #652 (April, 1990) and #869 (November, 2008). Then there is the back cover ad, with O.J. Simpson, talk about irony considering the front cover of this issue.
