One of my first CGC purchases was actually another 9.8 copy of this issue, that had a really bad cover wrap. I wasn’t new to collecting comics but I was new to collecting CGC graded examples. As I became more discerning with the CGG books I’d buy I started to purge some of the graded books I had with poor cover registration.
I first saw this particular piece come up on Heritage in early 2008. I initially lost on this one but picked up Action Comics #'s 541-2, #550 and #555. All the serial numbers for these pieces are in sequence. Three years later I got a second chance on this piece on eBay.
