In a 2012 interview with AV Club, Brian stated:
"Paul Chadwick, who does Concrete, is a creator I really love, and that was someone I was really surprised, when I first met Garth Ennis, to hear that he was also a Paul Chadwick fan. If you haven’t read Concrete, it’s very sweet, and sort of quiet and socially engaged. I think if you read Concrete, you’ll see its influence on [Ennis’] Preacher in sort of a weird, unexpected way, and definitely its influence on Y: The Last Man. I think those guys are, off the top of my head, from the world of comics writers, who I particularly love."
Interestingly, the first time Pia Guerra got a break from YTLM, Brian turned to Paul Chadwick to pencil a 2 issue mini arc.
Collecting Notes: One of my favorite covers! This issue wasn't too tough to find in high grade (every copy of this issue that I subbed came back a 9.8).
