A brilliantly conceived cover,
The cave opening is shaped like a skull, the Japanese hiding inside are inked in grey.
The investigative stance the GI has taken is portrayed just right.
In the background we see planes, huge ships and smaller landing craft heading towards the beach.
The colorful backgrounds contrasts beautifully with the darker foreground.
