Set Description:
My 6x CGC Best Set of The Walking Dead Survivors' Guide comics
This is a small but complete TWD comic set. It was my second complete CGC set, achieved on 18 November 2018. I have an extensive TWD collection. Please look at my Just Love the Walking Dead set here for links to my multiple CGC award-winning collections in English and other languages.
The Walking Dead Survivors' Guide is a four-issue comic book series written by Tim Daniel and Robert Kirkman. Together, the four books provide an A-Z guide of all the characters appearing in the main comic book series as of their publication date, November 2011. Each edition includes pictures and a summary of the characters' actions up to volume 13 Too Far Gone (comics 73-78).
Each comic in my Survivors' Guide set is signed by Robert Kirkman. The first comic of the four Guides is particularly rare and special, being quintuple-signed (5x), including a very rare signed zombie sketch (see photograph below) by Robert Kirkman, who was photographed at the private signing.
This first comic is also signed by (see photograph):
• Frank Darabont (3x Oscar nominated, writer and executive producer TWD, also director The Shawshank Redemption)
• Cliff Rathburn (artist / greyscale colourist for the TWD comics)
• Tim Daniel (co-writer of the TWD Survivors' Guide series; he also featured as a zombie in the season 1, episode 1 of the AMC TWD TV show.
The series set contains a number of errors* mistakenly listed as factual for the characters mentioned in the books:
• In Carol's biography pages, her daughter Sophia's name is misspelled as 'Sofia'.
• Sophia is mistakenly identified as Jim's daughter.
• Although Ron's death is mentioned and pictured on his page, in his information section, he is listed as alive.
* = Information from Walking Dead Wiki page with thanks.
