Set Description:
When it comes to comic book collecting this set is my passion. This is my favorite comic book and if you have a Suzie I need - please let me know. It would be going to a good home. In the initial stages of building this set, I was focused on the Al Fagaly covers, #49 - #69, but decided to go after the whole beast of a run in 2015. Many of the examples are single highest graded copies and are legitimately scarce in presentable shape.
Some highlights of the collection to point out:
Suzie #49 - This is by no means the first Suzie comic book, but it is the first title issue and one of the most popular from the run. I am proud to own the Crippen Copy.
Suzie #51 - this 6.5 is the best copy I could find. I've owned 18 copies of this book and have been searching for 6 years. This issue is the most desirable cover, gaining attention from GGA collectors.
Suzie #52 - This issue is the only issue out of the first 10 that I've been able to crack a 9.0 on.
Suzie #56 - many consider this cover to rank right up there with #51. The classic piano repair cover. This is the highest grade ever assigned at CGC.
Suzie #60 - CGC 9.2 - just an unusual grade for a Suzie.
Suzie #61 & 65 - There are only 3 Suzies to ever grade 9.4, here are 2 of them.
Suzie #99 - the later issues I'm finding are among the toughest from the run. This example is a CGC 8.5, a very unusual grade for the second to last issue of the run.
Rare Canadian Editions: I'm also looking for Canadian Editions of Suzie in a wide range of conditions. In addition to several raw copies in middle grade, I own the following certified examples in high grade. Suzie #67 CGC 9.6, Suzie #71 CGC 8.5 (this issue actually features the cover to #70 from the American release), Suzie #73 CGC 9.0.
