Owner's Description

Obverse: Portrait of Sun Yat-Sen at center (1866-1925). Block serial numbers in red, with two red treasury seals on bottom.
Obverse Color: Blue and blue-green and light brown underprint.
Reverse: Dr. Sun Yat-Sen’s Mausoleum (center) is situated at the foot of the second peak of Purple Mountain in Nanjing, China. Construction of the tomb started in January 1926, and was finished in spring of 1929.
Signatures: Qian Dakui (1898-1952) "T.K. Chien" (Vice Governor); Zhou Fuhai (1897-1948) (Zhou Fohai, Chou Fo-hai, Chou Fuhai) "F.H. Chow" (Governor).
Printing method: Intaglio.
Issuer: Japanese Puppet National Government in Nanking (Nanjing, Nankin) led
by Wang Jingwei (Wang Ching-wei): Central Reserve Bank of China.
Date of Issue: 29th year of the Republic (1940).
