Owner's Description
These 1995 1 Cordoba notes were produced by the British American Bank Note Co (Canada). From the information that was provided in the Flores book there was 20 million printed. This is a low serial number variety but I also have notes that are from 19.9 million range.
The design was carried over from the previous 1990 Series A notes with the word Oro being dropped from the border that goes around he edge of the obverse of the note. Now reading just Cordoba, compared to Cordoba Oro that was printed on the previous notes.
On the obverse is Francisco Hernandez de Cordoba, the Nicaraguan currency's namesake. He was a Spanish explorer and the founder of the cities of Leon and Granada in Nicaragua.
The reverse of the note features the National coat of arms.
