Owner's Description

- A funny thing happened on the way to market… the wrong portrait was put on this note! When “Clark” was approved for this note, that Clark was supposed to be William Clark of Lewis and Clark fame, not Spencer M. Clark, head of the Currency Bureau. Because of this congress passed a new law banning the use of a living person on our currency. This note has wide margins with the reverse printing oriented slightly to the left. There are only six notes better in the PMG census.
