Owner's Description

Philippine Specialist Listing No.26. 5 Piso.

No.26 .........MARCOS - LICAROS ......AH000001 - LF1000000 ...239M

No.26S .......#26 SPECIMEN ..........................A000000
No.26S1 .....#26 SPECIMEN (De La Rue) .....A000000

Banknote Displayed- No.26. ....PRINT ERROR- Misalignment of "ANG BAGONG LIPUNAN" (New Society) Overprint.

After the declaration of Martial Law on September 21, 1972, Presidential Decree No.168 was issued in April 1973 sending all unissued banknotes (P5-P100) back to the printer Thomas de la Rue, where the words "Ang Bagong Lipunan" and an oval geometric safety design were overprinted, in the watermark area on the face of each note.

These overprint shifts range from a minor shift, to completely missing, although spectacular, they are not that rare.
(They just look good)

Obverse… Andrés Bonifacio y de Castro ...(Nov.30, 1863 - May 10, 1897)

Reverse… Scene of the Katipunan Blood Pact
