Owner's Description

25 lei 1966 was used from 1966 to 1992, one of the longest series in circulation in modern times. The Banknote has a nice guilloche design with Romania coat of arms, on the front is illustrated the portrait of Tudor Vladimirescu, a great Romanian revolutionary hero, the leader of the Wallachian uprising of 1821; on the back is illustrated the Iron Works in Hunedoara, Romania being at that time one of the top steel producers in Europe. The banknote size is 140 x 70 mm, was issued on paper with rhombuses pattern watermark by the National Bank of Romania. The series ranges from 0001 to 0125. The specimen notes have prefix 0000 with narrow letter. The overprinted word SPECIMEN is using serif font. This banknote is graded 65 EPQ, Top Pop in PMG Population. Personal Note: This note was kept in an album issued for bank managers and other officials.
