Owner's Description

This MD-3 AU-50 (2 Shilling, 6 Pence) Note is a nice surviving example with the complete Counterfoil included that has been repaired. The specimen makes for a nice and acceptable addition to my specialized 1733 Resolution Series Set. The Maryland Colonial General Assembly authorized 40,000 of this denomination. As of the time of this writing, PMG has graded only seven (7) MD-3 specimens with five (5) in higher grade.
