Owner's Description

Red seal notes are rare and costly, however it is a wonderful addition to the collection. Only 2 examples from PMG have graded higher than this note. It is very special to own such a rare piece of American history. And the red seal notes are easy to see why they are so coveted. Truly a beautiful note to compliment the far less expensive blue seal FRN's. Once again, the note was sent to re-holder with the pedigree of my name. The more notes I receive back with my pedigree, the more convinced I am doing something special. Doesn't it seem cool to know that some of these notes might survive in these holders for a century or maybe much longer? And when I purchase a note with a previous pedigree, I make sure that name is placed on the back side of the label to continue the provenance. Every time I see my name, it reminds me how mortal we are, how short life is, how precious each minute is and that my name may adorn this note for hundreds of years when they may be mere museum pieces. I wish more collectors took the time to pedigree their notes.
