Owner's Description

There are 8 $100 BB reported from this prolific bank. There was a total amount issued of $12,412,400. The bank was organized Apr 16, 1887 and chartered Apr 28, 1887 and remained open past 1935. Signatures of W. P. Sinnett and Geo. H. Earle, Jr. are evident. The design of the one hundred dollar note shows Oliver H. Perry on his ship "Lawrence" during the battle of Lake Erie. The right shows a woman who is supposed to represent liberty. The words “maintain it” are written below her. Perhaps in a reminder response to the threat to the Union by the Confederate hooligans. I have a $100 note from the Third Charter, a gorgeous Date Back as well. Click next note in the set and you can see it.
