From the famous Doug Murray Collection for $599. Doug had an eye for notes similar to Thomas Flynn. I pay premiums for these notes and retain the pedigree. They could choose notes that always were better than the grade. PMG graded 22 of this rare note with only 4 of a higher grade. And the highest grade was a 55 EPQ. This note looks pretty good now!

Fr-911C is a good note to own. 13 have been graded at 64EPQ by PMG and only 3 notes higher. Those are good odds. Plus it completes my blue FRN Type Set!

Surprisingly for the number known, there are very few pieces graded 64 or over. Track & Price shows a census of over 1,100 with just seven Gems and eight choice examples. PCGS has graded 141 examples with only eight graded 60 or higher. PMG has reported 189 graded notes with 6 graded higher at 65 EPQ and 7 the same grade as this note. This 64 EPQ is a grade rarity of a very common number.

The Grant notes on FRN's or gold certificates are some of my favorite notes. U.S. Grant has the presence of a great man and it shows on currency. This is a great note at a great price $820. A 40 EPQ for any large size Grant $50 is good value.

Benjamin Franklin, who was never President of the U.S. has the honor of gracing the venerable $100 Federal Reserve Note of both the large and small variety. I especially adore the large size as it is a profile view of the great statesman. Not only was he key in birthing this great country but was a true Renaissance man in many different aspects of life. Franklin was a leading writer, printer, political philosopher, politician, Freemason, postmaster, scientist, inventor, humorist, civic activist, statesman, and diplomat. As a scientist, he was a major figure in the American Enlightenment and the history of physics for his discoveries and theories regarding electricity. As an inventor, he is known for the lightning rod, bifocals, and the Franklin stove, among other inventions. He founded many civic organizations, including the Library Company, Philadelphia's first fire department and the University of Pennsylvania.
