A nicely printed large seal note. Good margins, and a well centered back. I really like these notes and think they did a great job with the image.

A beautiful 1271 with great color and margins. If the top margin was just a little larger this note would have probably graded as a top pop note.

A very popular fractional currency note of the 4th issue. These sport a somewhat young portrait of Lincoln. The first of the 4th issue 50-cent notes to be printed with 19,152,000 notes being printed. This being a well margined gem with a good margin on the bottom of the reverse which comes closely cut on many notes.

This is one of the more common fractional notes that are available, however it becomes scarce in Gem condition. Imaged on the note is Edwin McMaster Stanton who was the Secretary of War for President Lincoln. The 4th issue notes were the first to carry the treasury seal. These notes were issued from July of 1869 Through December of 1869 with a total printing of 86,048,000 notes. This gem has good margins and clean paper. The back was printed on a slight angle so the margins look a bit off on the reverse.

Samuel Dexter pictured on this note on the left side was the Secretary of the Treasury for only 3 months in 1801 during a transition period. Extremely well centered with a large green seal and great paper makes this a nice looking note. They were issued between August 3, 1873 & February 16, 1874. Only a few notes are known one point higher in grade.
