Two varieties of the 3-cent note exists. This denomination was only printed in the third series. This note has the light curtain or background to the Washington portrait. this note is well centered with bright paper.

- The second of the two possible varieties of 3-cent notes, this note has the Dark curtain or background to the Washington Portrait. This note has nice margins with a perfectly center back. Good paper color. Only 9 available in 65EPQ with 6 better.
