Owner's Description

Notes were printed for L. Guiterrez by C. H. Clayton & Co. New York, and issued in denominations of 5, 10 and 50 pesos. The note representing this source of currency is an unissued example of the 5 pesos note. The majority of the private issues from Merida seem to be remainders rather than issued examples.
