This is a moderately circulated but pleasing example that bears one of the most sought after town names in the country. Staple holes to right of portrait. Wonderful pen signatures of Pres. Edward McDonald and Cashier A.F. Greenwaldt are still found on this $20 from this popular Carroll County bank.

This is a truly scarce Orange County bank in small size, with just ten examples spanning two different titles listed in the census. This piece is one of the ten reported and bears an appealing "binary radar" serial number of 001100.

The total number of sheets issued by this bank was just under 5,000 with only 410 sheets of $5 DBs, and with a large size outstanding of $1,020, indicating limited possibilities for new discoveries from here. This evenly circulated and well centered example has purple stamped signatures. This YA note would have been produced in 1914 shortly after the bank rec'd its charter. F.J. Kandut...
