Set Description:
My interest in the currency of the Southern States grew out of my interest in the Confederate States currency. I began collecting a few raw notes from Louisiana, Texas, and Virginia about 5 years ago. As these things often go, I began to find a few more from other states that were interesting for one reason or another, and therefore, the set just grew. I find these notes add to my appreciation of the history of the Confederate States as they tried to finance and grow a new country in the midst of a brutal war. Aside from the beauty and quality of some of these notes, the ones I especially appreciate are the ones that have vignettes showing the family and farm scenes. Look at the notes in this set from Georgia, Kentucky, and Virginia to see what I mean.

Most of my Southern States collection is still ungraded at this point so this Signature Set will be a continuing "work in progress".
