This set represents the very best of the small size $5 legal tenders consisting of all series, blocks, varieties and stars. I consider this to be my No. 1 set in the PMG registry and currently in 1st place as of November 2023. Started building this set over 8 years ago and it's been quite a challenge to find and then later upgrade some of the better rarities. Some of the highlights of this set are my 1928E HA block mule with BP # 637 in 66EPQ and a 1928E HA block mule with BP # 629 in 35EPQ. A 1928 plain DA block in 65EPQ. A 1928C FA block in 68EPQ and a 1928D in 67EPQ. A 1928D mule in AU 58. 1928C FA and GA block mules in AU grades. Some rare star notes such as the 1928B mule star, 1928C mule star and a 1928F Wide II star. Three of the stars that are missing from my set have already been obtained in PCGS holders and just have to be sent into PMG for crossover which should happen by January 2024.
