Owner's Description

Troy, NY The Central NB Ch. # 1012 PMG 15 $5 Fr. 397a SN 6265/D557773 pp A May 10th, 1865. Original series note from this scarcer large-only Troy bank, this is the only $5 in the census. PMG mentions minor repairs on its holder of this Original Series $5, but any such repairs are not readily apparent on this attractive note that retains sharp ink colors and dark pen signatures of John B. Kellogg, Cashier and J.L. Van Schoonhoven, President. Ex The Collar City Collection of NY Nationals.
